Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales goals by developing and motivating a strong sales staff, and ensuring exceptional service is provided to all customers and maintaining company standards.

- Work with Store Manager achieve sales, customer service, and shrink goals, and maintaining visual standards and product information knowledge levels
- Work with Store Manager to fulfill operational and organizational needs
- Manage shop staff in Store Manager’s absence
- Provide strong leadership to staff by creating a positive work environment
- Keep current on all product and policy information
- Maintain expert knowledge of company initiatives, current advertising, promotions and catalogues
- Push for an exceptional level of customer service
- Work with Store Manager to recruit candidates
- Lead in accordance with company values
- Maintain presence on the selling floor to answer customer and employee questions
- Assist in preparing the store for inventory
- Oversee daily store activities including opening/closing operations, cash management, and customer service issues
- Other duties as required

Requirements:
- Experience in sales generation and managing the achievement of sales results through others
- Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft office suite, and point of sale systems
- Analytical with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Prior retail management experience and college degree preferred
